Meet Our Team

Tyla Forbes
Room Leader
I joined Dizzy Ducks as a room practitioner at Apprentice level. Dizzy Ducks helps Apprentices find the right training providers for each Apprentice and supports them to get on the correct courses. As an apprentice I was given a mentor to help me settle in, answer questions and help me learn through role modelling. I was also given time out of my week to meet my tutor.
I was recently looking to progress my career. I found that because Dizzy Ducks has four nurseries it broadened the opportunities available to me, as I could apply for promotion at other settings. This meant I transferred from the Harlow team to become a Room Leader in the Hainault nursery. They are such a welcoming and friendly team, which really helped me to settle in to my new role. I knew most of the team already, as we often meet and share best practice with the teams at the other nurseries either at our training sessions, our Annual Golden Duck Awards or on our team Facebook page.
During my time here, Dizzy Ducks have been really supportive of my career ambitions to move into a managerial role. I have studied for my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, as well as attending other in-house training courses.
Dizzy Ducks has given me a great start to my career, but also given me insight into how the children can help make your day special. It really makes me proud when the ideas I have had to improve our environments really stimulate the children’s sense or curiosity and help them develop.
