Dizzy Ducks’ Hainault Nursery Graded as ‘Good’ by OFSTED
Dizzy Ducks Day Nursery in Hainault underwent an OFSTED Inspection on 2nd February 2018 and were delighted to announce that they received a ‘Good’ for their Early Years Provision.
This is the first inspection by Ofsted since the nursery chain took over from the local authority in April 2015. The nursery has been going from strength to strength with the number of children attending the nursery increasing by nearly 50 per cent.
They have also received industry praise with Nicole Kingston, Hainault’s Preschool Room Leader, being shortlisted as one of the Top 5 nursery practitioners in the country at the Nursery World Awards. And, industry experts Nursery Management Today, shortlisting the nursery chain for the best ‘Training and Development Programme’ award.
‘Happy confident children.’
Ofsted’s glowing report highlighted how well the children were cared for:
“Children are happy and confident. New children settle into the setting well. Staff are caring and form warm relationships with children. They are sensitive to children's needs and support their emotional well-being effectively.”
“Children make good progress and develop the skills needed for the next stages in their learning. They have interesting opportunities to develop their creative and physical skills. For instance, they enjoy exploring moulding material and creating structures, and learn to think of ideas and share these with others.”
Nazia Khanum, Deputy nursery manager said “I am really proud of the team and the improvements we’ve seen at the nursery. We are always looking at ways to improve and evolve our Early years education. In the coming months, parents will see more natural resources introduced to stimulate children’s imagination and moving away from the plastic toys. We are on a mission to bring back childhood! We want to give our children the opportunity to make mud pies in the garden; potions from the plants and flowers and turning cardboard boxes into a space ship!”
Dizzy Ducks in Huntsman road nursery offers childcare from birth to 5 years old from 8am until 7pm with over 70 places. The nursery offers full time places, as well as 2, 3 and 4 year old funding.
