Marketing AdministratorI joined Dizzy Ducks as an apprentice, while studying for my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
The first thing I noticed when joining then nursery was the homely feel. The children were so engaged in the activities with the team and everyone was really friendly.
Dizzy Ducks were extremely supportive as I balanced working and studying. They allowed me to take time off to study, provided relevant training that worked hand in hand with my course and were a great sounding board when completing my coursework.
Since starting in January 2015 I have progressed from apprentice to practitioner, then to deputy room leader. In October 2015, I was offered the opportunity to work at our Head office in the marketing team – this was something new that I felt I couldn’t miss out on.
I love everything about working in childcare. I loved being part of the children’s lives, the opportunity to inspire, have fun and support them through their Early Years education.
I eventually want to move in to a management position. So when the opportunity came up to learn about marketing, the events, open days, social media etc. I recognised this would be a great way to learn new skill that would benefit me in the future. I’ve found out I love running events, as you get a great sense of achievement when it works out well.
